the low end Sonic 2 Dash version of this boss has thrusters instead of legs. Done by way of blacking out the entire "pants" area and putting one of the Wing Fortress thrusters on it. |

How about something like Super Mario World for the NES? Mario in that game uses a different color palette for the 8x8 tile showing his overalls, allowing them to be blue instead of black. If you modified the sprites a little (like changing the tan for red for Sonic's shoes) , you could make these sprites actually work in game! |
