@Daytin13: And I'm certain it's all my fault for what happened for Smash Bros. earlier (though to be fair, ShinyQuagsire23 told the internet of their existence first)... In a way that's good (means they're upping their security to stop it from happening again, to keep the element of surprise), but that means I probably won't be able to rip those sprites until Nintendo does an update later to patch them directly into the game's archives. Respriting 'em just doesn't cut it for me (and if there's apparently another 95 in total, supposedly, waiting to be unlocked...!). |

Eggman in this game is just full of pure lulz. Him coming after Sonic with such a casual walk on the conveyors and reaching to grab some popcorn at the oven like a little kid. |

One is the original arcade version, the other (this one) is the PlayStation port, which features a mode called Combat School (a mode that allows the player to revisit previously-played stages, but with new mission objectives; it was originally included in the NGCD version, and is also found on the Saturn port), and in compensation for load times and missing animation frames, it also includes a mode called "Another Story", which consists of a series of plot-based mini-games. |

The prerendered stuff is for performance, so you can have a buttload of objects in your level without having it lag. |

@Corrin: I don't think I saw those in the game files, so I can't say much about 'em, and by "discarded" I meant the sprites on the bottom of this sheet that fly away from Mario if you get hit while using 'em. Should've been more specific. Anyway, updated the sheet with the Fighter Fly and the "combo" Fire Flower. |

In hindsight I realize Vincent was a slip up on my part. I assumed because he was in the En files list he'd already been released, since that version is months behind. As for special effects, I've got a few but it's just a collection of really random ones and I don't know how to organize them. There's no predictable naming pattern to them either. If I had more I'd probably upload them as a Zip. |

To note, the "Radical Fall" is actually a strange feature from Sonic CD where Sonic will jump off of what he's standing on after 2 minutes and 54 seconds of inactivity. It will cause an instant Game Over. |

If you revise any, be sure to check the JP character list. Some characters not available in the US have been released in Japan. Beatrix, Freya, Laguna,Seifer, etc. Some of whom have not yet been uploaded. Do you have the special effects as well? They seem to be a bit more problematic. I have succeeded in converting them to proper transparency by re-saving the ones I've found as TIFFs in the generic windows Photo and Fax viewer, which views them more accurately than Photoshop at al. |
