@SiFi270 Funnily enough, someone else in the past asked the same question who was an expert on tennis games and the truth is that we don't know. I did manage to find that Intelligent Systems did the Nintendo tennis games and the tennis game in Sega Game Pack 4 in 1, Arc System Works had some development involved. No clue on Super Tennis but maybe the developers liked that game.

I do know that Tose was heavily influenced by or even stole code from Final Match Tennis while making Super Tennis (the SNES one, not this one).

Was there some anonymous developer who made tennis games for both Sega and Nintendo? Because not only is this strikingly similar to Tennis for NES, but also check out their handheld counterparts:

In both of those, the ball even leaves a little outline on the ground to show where it bounced.
