@SonicHex I agree, but like Poudink mentioned, this game came out in 1997 in the US, so it didn't get as much attention as Yoshi's Island.

everyone always seems to praise yoshi's island, but what about this game, this game nails the cutesy drawing book aesthetic way better than yoshi's island

It's undeniable truth that the prerendered 3D graphics used by DKC, DKC2, DKC3 and SMRPG are impressive, but in an age where real time 3D graphics are commonplace, pixelated renders of dated-looking 3D models haven't aged the best. Through art style alone, this game manages to be the most aesthetically-pleasing SNES game I have seen. It uses a hand drawn art style not unlike that of Yoshi's Island, but unlike Yoshi's Island, Kirby's Dream Land 3 doesn't limit itself to flat colors, making it look just that much better. It's a wonder so many early Kirby games like Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64 managed to be some of the best looking games on their respective systems, if not the best looking games on their respective systems. That's not something you'd expect out of a franchise like Kirby. If I had to guess, I'd say these all being late releases in the system's life span has something to do with it. Kirby's Adventure released in 1993, two years after the Super Nintendo, Kirby's Dreamland 3 released in 1997, a year after the N64 and Kirby 64 released in 2000, a year before the Gamecube. Nonetheless, impressive stuff.

This is easily my favorite Kirby game and my favorite SNES game; the graphics, the music, and the atmosphere are all so beautiful that it just makes you feel GOOD.

Really do love Kirby's Dream Land 3 over KSS (I like KSSU better) and was hoping to find the water effects/tiles... I might wanna rip 'em.
