I'm shocked how small this sheet is compared to the assembled sprite sheet, but now that think about it I suppose you can do a lot with so many different yoshi tiles

@SuperInky
You mean the swallowing sprites at the end of the head section? iirc those were also ripped from the GBA version, it's just I forgot about coloring that in at the time when this was being revised to fix the palettes (an older revision didn't even have the right colors for any of them and just used the NES palette).
Edit: Just submitted the revision that gets rid of the SMA3 sprites and replaces them with the original ones, as well as removing filler tiles and other unnecessary things (pending atm).
Edit: Now it's uploaded.

@Sonicfan32
What about the heads in that case? As I mentioned before there are a few (as minimum 3) that had a little brighter color in the tip of the nose.

@SuperInky
The only ones ripped from the GBA version were the Flattened/Transformation and the Intro sprites (YY-CHR does a weird thing with the 8bbp sprites in the SNES version so back when I made this in 2017, I thought that the SNES and SMA4 versions used the exact same graphics.) Other than that nothing was stolen from the GBA sheet as that one has a different format by having some body parts and the head still be attached in certain animations instead of having all the tiles be separate. This sheet is very old anyway so I'm currently working on a rerip.

Could be stolen, but there's also that possibility that they ripped them from GBA (for whatever reason) then recolored them

So... does that mean they're stolen?

The sprites in this sheet have been stylized and/or recolored from the GBA port. Yoshi's shell/saddle has NO shading in the intro cutscenes or in the game itself. This sheet has Yoshi's shell/saddle shaded though, and in an improper palette. Also, some frames on Yoshi have a lighter color in the white shading.
Sorry if I'm wrong, but they look off to me.

EDIT0: Upon further looking into those sprites, I have concluded they ARE recolors from the GBA port. If you look closely at the sprites of Yoshi's head during the Egg Laying animation, you'll notice a pixel on his nose is colored lighter, suggesting these sprites got taken from GBA (possibly also from somewhere or someone else) then recolored.

the sprites of yoshi looking into the background in any way make him look really similar to his SMW style

I don't think the colors for the title sequence Yoshi are exact.

@Sonicfan32 It got so popular because it's a good sheet that was sadly lacking despite how good the sprites are.
