Also, we're not SNES Maps. What they have has no bearing on what we have.

@Crafty These are sprite layers without the other things like backgrounds and foregrounds added. Those are the whole things. There's an obvious difference.

A comprehensive sheet for SMW particles hasn't been created yet.

Where can i find the particles that appear when Mario collects a coin?

Honestly, even without the legal issues I'm glad we don't, I prefer the site not bog itself down with enormous amounts of unused stuff mixed with the finalized product's sprites, and those times where there's a split "prototype" section comes with its own issues (particularly when there's multiple builds involved). If you want gigaleak stuff, look on TCRF, they at least have an excuse to have it in that documenting unused stuff in games is their entire purpose.

I don't know how many times I'll have to repeat this, but keep in mind that we're supposed to be ripping assets from the games themselves as they were released, "ripping" (more like repurposing) development assets illegally obtained from developer servers by a cybercriminal goes against that whole concept.

So no, we are not "missing" them, and we will continue to be "missing" them since we were never supposed to have them in the first place.

@BeefyDie It'll never be put up. We don't want Nintendo all over us.

@ripoof: Because it's part of the overworld / world map screen?

@teh_supar_hackr and BillyBnMOfficial: In the early days of the site, we had to manually input the "shortnames" for games instead of them being auto-generated, hence why a lot of them are different than the norm.

My guess is that in the early days, some games had shortened forms

Shadow the Hedgehog's GameCube page is just "shadowth"

confusing how the url is "smarioworld" instead of "SMW", or even the long "Super Mario Bros 4: Super Mario World"

My favorite main line Mario game to exist, my favorite Mario game ever is Super Mario Maker 2

@Murnjendoof Surely possible, but doesn't make too much sense, while also being a ridiculous undertaking.
If you want to be sure of the palettes, just open up Lunar Magic and check the palette editor for any given level/map/menu etc you wanna check.

Would it be possible to get a sheet that just contains all of the palettes used in the game?

Does anyone know where the fonts are? (Edit: I found them, I was just blind.)
Avatar

@Dragon They're under "foreground tiles." You shouldn't be looking in the maps for specific tiles, anyway.

Was it really necessary to split this up into 180+ individual vgmap rips, this is so granular that it's become useless I just want to find where the vines are

The section right above the comments (Miscellaneous) has a sheet called "Enemy Cast Roll & Ending Screen". Hope that helps.
